Editing & Copyediting
Editing and copyediting are similar, but important at different times.
Copyediting often goes hand-in-hand with general proofreading near the end of a final draft. It polishes clarity, style, flow and the structural consistency of a piece.
“Big Picture” editing is typically done after the first draft. It evaluates character development, narrative flow, plot holes, argument structure and overall tone.
Meet Breanna
Breanna began her career in public service, healthcare and health information management by volunteering for her local fire department in high school.
Over eight years, she advanced and became a Firefighter/Paramedic who precepted other paramedics, ran fleets of ambulances, performed community outreach, and managed drug and supply rooms. During a break from the ambulance, Breanna spent two years becoming a certified professional medical coder, earning extra certifications and eventually training others in specialty coding for rural health clinics and critical access hospitals. She currently holds multiple certifications and is working towards a Bachelor’s degree of Applied Management.
Breanna decided to create Phoenix Rose Writing to fuse her healthcare experience and critical thinking ability with her passion for writing. She aims to empower other professionals and business owners by providing quality writing services, dedicated attention to detail and a compassionate human element that can’t be replicated.
